Hidden Falls author Carla Danziger was the invited guest at St. Christopher's Book Discussion Group's August meeting. Almost 20 people joined the discussion held at Judy Lawson's lovely home.

Birthday Celebration: Lunch and Theater

For my 2012 birthday my wonderful sister treated me to lunch at the Dupont Cafe followed by a play at the Keegan Theater.

Art on the Mall

George and I met at the National Gallery of Art and visited the fabulous exhibit of George Bellows. He was a very versatile artist and I liked his portraits, in particular, although I liked almost all of the works that were on display.

After we parted, I made a visit to the Hirshhorn and saw some interesting works.

We went to One Page More, a bookstore in Arlington, to hear the translator of Norwegian Karin Fossum's The Caller and Danish Jussi Adler-Olsen's The Keeper of Lost Causes and The Absent One.

Go, Nats!

Seventy of us from St. Christopher's attended a Nats-Braves baseball game. Despite an hour rain delay, an enjoyable time was had by all. Andrea and I were lucky that our two sons and three grandchildren were there with us. And - the Nats won! Go, Nats!
