Book Talk

I met my friends Richard and Yuki at Expo Pastry in the Mosaic District to discuss the exciting Norwegian Noir TV series Acquitted. We had a stimulating discussion.

We discussed other subjects as well including numerous books and other TV series.

We also enjoyed a nice lunch. I had a delicious quiche with spinach and goat cheese.

Greek Waffles

My friend Janet and I went to Eleni's after church and we both enjoyed a waffle lunch. We had an interesting conversation with a wide variety of topics covered.

This is not at all a great photo. We are both more beautiful than the photo shows - well, Janet is, if the truth be told! Five photos were taken and this was the best. (You can imagine the others.)

Lodge Meeting

AFTERNOON: BIRTHDAY LUNCH

My friend Dona came over for lunch and we celebrated her birthday. The menu was not as originally planned and the meal was a disappointment. (No details will be provided.) We did have a nice time, however, chatting and catching up on things.

EVENING: SONS OF NORWAY LODGE MEETING

I had a very fun time at the January SON lodge meeting. The main event was the Installation of Officers and Board Members. Here you can see my good friend Marie being inducted. Note the flags very much in view and the Piggy in which we put money for our charities. 

Katja made some delicious cookies for our potluck but she also made an excellent presentation on the Cultural Skills program.

Chinese with George

George and I enjoyed our lunch together at the House of Dynasty. 

I don't look too happy in this photo. The reason is I was a bit concerned with how the photographer was handling my phone. She kept turning it around and losing focus. 

I was having a good time and I was happy!

Minnesota Link

I met my friend Solveig from Minnesota for lunch at the Alexandria Pastry Shop.

We had a very pleasant time chatting about Norwegian things and other subjects of interest as well. She didn't want a photo of herself so she took one of me. I always like to prove I am where I say I am!

Thank You Lunch #1

My neighbor LaVerne has been an incredibly wonderfully supportive neighbor. I wanted to begin to show her my appreciation.

I took her to The House of Dynasty for lunch. We had a great chat over delicious Chinese food.
