The Sons of Norway Reading Circle met to discuss Nobel Prize Winner Knut Hamsun's Hunger.

Hamsun was born in Lom and I visited his birthplace while there.

Trip to Norway 2012

Back to my Norwegian roots! I had a glorious 9 days in the land of my ancestors. I traveled with my Italian friend Mariolina. We spent a few days in Oslo and in Hallingdal but the best part of the trip was our stay in the village of Lom in Oppland. The Borgen Family Reunion was the highlight.

When we arrived in Lom, I called my cousin Alf and he and three of his daughters came over immediately to greet us.

We were invited to a cook-out at the Squadrinis. It was a beautiful summer day with fun conversation and good food.
