DC Explorers

Marie, Barbara, and I had another fantastic outing. We first went to the Phillips Collection to see the William Merritt Chase exhibit and enjoyed it very much. (I had seen it last week but was happy to see it again.)

My Annapolis Favorite

Dona and I went to Annapolis and had lunch at our favorite restaurant there, Carrol's Creek. As usual, I had the risotto (the best ever) and we both had the delicious Key Lime Souffle. Again, I forgot to take photos.

But I remembered to take a couple of Dona at her home afterwards.

The Lodge sponsored a very nice picnic. I enjoyed eating outside on the porch with Marie, Henry, George, and ?

I hope to get some photos of this event from Bill DeR.

A visit to the Phillips

I met my friends George and Sue at the Phillips Collection and we visited the marvelous exhibit of 70 works by William Merritt Chase. I liked most of his works very much. I don't remember ever hearing about him before but I must have. After viewing the exhibit, we had a delightful lunch in the museum's Cafe. Unfortunately, I again forgot to take photos! What's the matter with me? (We all know that answer to this question!)

I will find a few photos of the exhibit to post.  Stay tuned.

Lunch with Margaret and Museum Visit

I enjoyed a very nice lunch on campus with my friend and colleague Margaret. I forgot to get a photo of us, unfortunately. We ate in the lovely Garden Cafe in the State Plaza Hotel.

After our lunch, I went over to see the Migration exhibit at the Textile Museum.

Chinese with Barbara

I invited Barbara out to dinner to thank her for all of the work she has done on my neglected yard. We went to a Chinese restaurant in Annandale. Delicious food!
